Currently, waste oil from non point sources of pollution is the largest form of water pollution in the world. When cleaning this oil up a waste stream is generated. Whether it's oil on a parking lot or oil in the bilge of a ship a method for collecting that waste is required. The current industry standard when cleaning up is to vacuum up the material and ship it as hazardous waste. In the case of oil spill poly propylene based adsorbents are used and again shipped as hazardous waste.

Our patented process allows for this "hazardous waste" to actually be recycled into usable oil. The process works by applying our cleaning technology to separate the oil from the surface. When the oil is de-bonded it can be vacuumed up. This emulsion of cleaner water and disbursed oil is then treaded with a neutralizing agent that causes the oil to recombine and float to the surface of the water. The oil on the surface is then pumped off and recycled and the residual water is filtered with a super absorbent material to remove and residue. The super absorbent material is recycled into fuel or asphalt. This process allows us to eliminate the costly hazardous waste handling component of oil clean up.
